Are you game with facebook (FB)? Study from the Department of Telecommunication, Information Studies, and Media Michigan State University highlights the benefits of facebook in social life and students. The study examines the relationship between use of FB, a popular online social network site, and the formation and maintenance of social capital. This includes the bonding and bridging social capital and how one's ability to stay connected with members of a previously inhabited community. FB usage was found to interact with measures of psychological well-being, suggesting that it might provide greater benefits for users experiencing low self-esteem and low life satisfaction. Wow!... it has somewhat to do with esteem and satisfaction. This is possible as the FB has garnered a very strong percentage of users on college campuses. More than 90% of the undergraduate students we surveyed were FB members. Now, what makes this become like a phenomenal situation or so popular? What do they want? What are they looking for? And ... are you safe in using FB? Are you ready for any possible cyber crime that will hit you? Find more information about the study : http://jcmc.indiana.edu/vol12/issue4/ellison.html
